Topic: Navigating the current liquidity landscape 

A session focused on top of mind macro forces and market trends within the liquidity and cash management space as seen through BNY’s eyes as the worlds #1 custodian, overseeing over $50 trillion of assets and >$1 trillion of liquidity & cash balances.

Alexander Cadmus is Head of Strategy for Global Liquidity Services, within Markets. In his current capacity he has various responsibilities, including: developing strategic solutions for client liquidity needs, analyzing market and broader financial system trends and providing real-time insights to clients, as well as leading various liquidity & funding strategic initiatives as part of the firm’s $1.4 trillion cash ecosystem. 

Prior to joining BNY, Alexander worked at Goldman Sachs within the Investment Banking Financing Group, playing a pivotal role advising banks, asset managers and specialty finance firms on capital structure and financing strategies, particularly as they navigated the challenged market backdrop brought upon by the latest rate hiking cycle and the regional banking stress of 2023. 

He began his career within Corporate Treasury at Goldman Sachs, where he was responsible for managing the firm’s capital, liquidity and balance sheet. During this time he played a critical role in funding optimization efforts while navigating through the onset and aftermath of the 2020 pandemic.

He graduated from Villanova University, receiving a dual degree in Accounting & Finance
