Heather has over 30 years of professional experience and has been a nationally-recognized expert in unclaimed property for more than 24 years assessing the escheatment gaps of an organization and marketing unclaimed property solutions.
Prior to joining MarketSphere in 2014, Steffans worked for two other abandoned property holder advocates expanding their footprint marketing software (TRACKER®), escheatment consulting and outsourcing solutions.
Steffans is a respected senior unclaimed property business development professional with proven skills in needs analysis and strategic problem solving to help unclaimed property holders reduce the negative impact of escheatment and achieve best outcomes. Steffans’ two decades of experience spans multiple industries and product offerings. Steffans is recognized in the abandoned and unclaimed property industry as a subject matter expert and thought leader, tradeshow expert, popular industry conference speaker and veteran webinar presenter.
Heather has served in the capacity as a Board Liaison, Co-Chair, and member on the Professional Development, Membership, Conference/Seminar, Holders Advocacy, Certificate, GRAC, Virtual Learning, and Communication committees for the Unclaimed Property Professional Organization and is currently the President on the Board of Directors for 2020-2021.
