During the tour and presentation, the group will witness and learn about one of the largest “economic engines” to the valley.

Santan Generating Station is a 1225 megawatt gas-fired power plant owned and operated by SRP in Gilbert Arizona. Santan is used to supplement base-load plants and is a relatively quick source of electricity, capable of producing power within 20 to 60 minutes. Energy produced assists serving over one million customers at a competitive and affordable price.

SRP Assistant Treasurer Dale Politi will discuss the various methods of cash forecasting, financial planning, and accounting used to predict proper cash flows to meet asset/liability management. The financing involved for capital projects for the large utility will be a point of discussion. Come ready with questions!
