Many people in organizations take on a fiduciary role without knowing they are a fiduciary. Many people that think that only an executive or officer of a company can be a fiduciary. In our discussion we will outline what makes someone a retirement plan fiduciary, roles and responsibilities of a fiduciary and how best to protect yourself if you are a retirement plan fiduciary. We will review some recent court cases as examples of how to protect yourself from liability.

Patrick Euston

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER


Patrick has been in the retirement and employee benefits industry for almost 10 years serving in both management and sales roles. During his time with American Century and DailyAccess Corporation, Patrick was responsible for sales management and growth initiatives.  In his role as Business Development Officer for Heartland Retirement Plan Services, Patrick serves an advisory role for potential clients. His experience allows him to navigate the retirement plan industry regulatory climate, as well as discuss particulars of a retirement plan.  Patrick graduated in 2004 from Springhill College with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
